The Von Bach Dam and accompanying Recreational Resort is a dam and vacation resort in Okahandja, Namibia Built in 1968 and commissioned in 1970, the dam lies across the Swakop River and serves as Windhoek’s main water supply dam, having a capacity of some 50 million cubic meters.

The Recreation Park is a popular get away venue for locals. The surrounding game reserve covers an area of 4,300 hectares and is populated with Mountain zebra, eland, springbok, Kudu, Gemsbok, baboons and ostriches. The vegetation of the area can be classified as thorn bush savanna. Dominant tree species are camel thorn, blue thorn, sweet thorn and Ringwood trees.
