Palmwag Lodge

This is one of Namibia’s oldest and most popular tourist locations, known for its whispering palm trees, spectacular surroundings and proximity to the rare desert-adapted black rhino and desert elephant that road this enormous and wild expanse. This oasis situated on the banks of the dry Uniab River provides multiple accommodation options, from chalets to Meru-style tens and a unique family unit, all decorated in individual, tasteful style. A swimming pool, restaurant and cozy pool bar make this an ideal base for exploring the vast concession and its surprising array of wildlife in Namibia’s dramatic north-west region.

Doro Nawas Camp

Lies on the edge of the dry Aba-Huab River with glorious views of the rugged Damaraland area. Its natural walled units, the design and décor blending in with the surrounding scenery, each have a bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a veranda for stargazing or sleep outs. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, a pool area and bar. The lodge provides an excellent base for exploring the local area in search of desert-adapted elephants, combining a safari experience with economic empowerment for the local community. Guests can view Africa’s largest collection of petroglyphs – prehistoric rock engravings – and San rock art at Twyfelfontein, Namibia’s first World Heritage Site.

Okahirongo Elephant Lodge

Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is located in Kaokoland, often described as one of the last truly wild areas in the North West of Namibia. This is the only place in the world where elephants, black rhinos, lions and other African animals live in a desert environment. Accommodations comprise of 7 luxury double cottages with en-suite large bathroom with bath tub overlooking the surroundings and one suite with two double rooms and private lounge. All the chalets have their private gazebos. Take the time to be lost in the stunning wrap views, laze around the pool, read a book in the cool comfort of the library or merely relax in one of the two open lounges or have a body massage. The menu changes daily, a delicious fusion of Italian and African cuisine. During the stay at the Okahirongo Elephant Lodge, the guests can explore an untouched wilderness area. Activities include morning and afternoon game and scenic drives, desert adapted elephants tracking. You may also chose to walk and hike the Huarosib River and surrounding mountains, or visit the local Himba Village. The lodge offers a highly sophisticated desert experience for a maximum of 18 guests. Come and explore this amazing paradise, a unique African experience.
